The Forum of National Archivists (FAN) is delighted to announce the results of the election for the member of the FAN Steering Committee 2024-2026 representing the Africa and the Arab countries region. This election involved all Category A members of the ICA in good standing from the specified region, who exercised their right to vote for their preferred candidate.
With two valid applications received for the position, the voting members had the opportunity to cast their digital votes for the following candidates:
- Faisal A. Altamimi
- Bartholomew Marong
The ballot counting was conducted on 14 June 2024 by the Election Officer. A total of 13 ballots were cast, with the results as follows:

Based on these results, we are pleased to announce that the elected member for the Africa and the Arab countries region of the ICA Forum of National Archivists (FAN) Steering Committee 2024-2026 is:
- Faisal A. Altamimi
The newly elected member will assume their role at the Annual/Ordinary General Assembly planned for October 2024.
